Awakening by Jonibev [Reviews - 0]

This planet turns and turns and turns
On a wobbly axis.
The black sky begins to fade
To grayness - lighter, lighter, lighter.
On the horizon a pink line forms
Turning and turning and turning
This side into the sun.

Such a small, insignificant place
A dew drop in the universe
Tucked away on the edge of a galaxy
And yet ...
This is the place where the universe
Becomes conscious of itself.

Grayness becomes brighter, brighter, brighter
I look out, the universe sees
I touch, the universe feels
I hear, the universe looks up
I smell, the universe senses
I dream, the universe thinks.

Turning and turning and turning
On a wobbly axis.
